Who is Lars Kirstein....
Portrait II

My photographing career started 35 years ago with the purchase of a Pentax SLR. Then I shifted to Olympus OM10, OM20 and finally ended up with a Olympus OM-2n which I still own and use!
In 2006 I bought a Nikon D70s and some lenses. In 2008 a Nikon D300 and more lenses was added. In 2009 and 2010 I have invested in various lighting equipment. In 2011 a Nikon D800 has been added and in 2016 a D810 came aboard. When traveling I use a Nikon Coolpix A - one of the most overseen gems in the photography equipment industry. A modern rangefinder producing astonishingly clean and sharp image files with a true color rendering.
I own a growing collection of mint condition Nikon SLR's - Nikon F, Nikon FE, Nikon FE2, Nikon EM, Nikon FA, Nikon F3 HP and Nikon FM3A - and still use them for personal projects.

As an artist I'm constantly trying to develop a unique photographic style - even though this is inherently difficult. A life time challenge.
Some of my photos have been displayed in various magazines and websites.

I'm happy to take on assignments or sell photos for commercial or non-commercial use. I do commercial work for corporate clients photographing buildings, staff and management. I also take on single clients for a portrait.

You can read more at my blog - Thoughts On Photography.
I also write a blog focusing on the world of Nikon - in Danish. You can find it here Nikon Nyt.

I'm 55 years old and have two lovely children - Camilla (23) and Christian (19) and live north of Copenhagen, Denmark.
